It's not uncommon in the vast wilderness for figures to disappear into the lands, unseen and unaccountable for seasons before emerging back as if they had never left. The travels they have made in their time of absence possibly never coming to be told but leaving only a mark of age on their souls. For those wild at heart, they do not care for recounting travels but focus on each day and moment. For Brenin, his only concern now is the needs of his herd, both hooved and clawed. Time has blessed him with experience and knowledge as he leads his diverse band into a small marsh that formed during the spring from ice melt and in the warm summer heat has reseeded to a shallow swatch of puddles and greenery. The small pools provide needed nutrient for all members of his herd that he guides with fresh prey to catch and salty vitamin packed water grass. As his mares and foals eat and rest by the cooling waters, he can be ever grateful for the extra eyes and ears that keep alert along with him. Even the presence of the older male he has allowed to shelter with his herd does well to ease his mind from fears of those whom he would not welcome to his herd, be they predators or competitors. With so many alert for dangers from all around, Brenin can let himself enjoy the day and the tasty meal he's found to restore his vigor.

Oh boy, how long has it been since I've drawn my wild boy?... 2018?... Huh. Ya know, between college and a pandemic, I honestly did not realize I had taken such a long break.
Whelp, what better way to get back into the swing of things then with a big old group photo!
Which also made me realize that Brenin's herd grew a TON before I took my break. Also, it's almost equal parts horse to not horses and I find that hilarious. I may actually have to consider having a couple mares chased off or something. If I age up the foals right now, the herd would be too big anyways. Then again, I also would like to breed some more Brenin babies. I also need to finish his main quest line too.
Oh goodness I have so much to do with this wild bunch! Lots of fun still to come.
I experimented a bit with this pic though. I tried out some stamps, still getting used to all the tools in Clip Studio Paint. I actually do like the outcome. I might have to make my own grass stamps for next time.
