September 7 was another sad day for those over at SeaWorld, this time in San Diego. Sumar, a 12 year old orca suddenly passed away of causes still unknown. Sumar was my favorite orca out of the whole SeaWorld bunch. He was such a spunky little fellow and seeing him play with the waffle always brought a smile to my face. He will be greatly missed by his trainers, regulars at the park, and those of the online community.

I know this isn't the greatest orca I've ever drawn, but I've been in too much a drawing funk lately to draw something better. I actually drew this picture months ago and began to paint it once I found out about poor Sumar. I'm actually rather pleased with the results.
