It was already night, the crickets were singing on the outskirts of the swamp where Kissyfur and Gus lived!
Gus had carried his son to bed, tucked him in and gave him a kiss on his forehead ... when Gus was going down the stairs, Kissyfur called him saying:
"Dad ... I wrote something for you at school!Can you read it?I hope you like it!"
Gus took the sheet in his paws and began to read it a little aloud:
"I feel safe when you are with me;
You show me fun and great things to do;
You make my life much better;
The best father I know is you...
I'm happy you're my Dad,
And so I want to say
I love you, Dad, and wish you
you stay with me...forever!"
As Gus read the short poem ... a tear ran down his face and his voice broke!
Kissyfur, seeing him cry, got a little nervous and said:
"Dad ... I'm sorry ... I didn't mean to hurt you!"
Gus replied:
"No my son ... on the contrary, you have made me the happiest father in the whole world! I will be with you until the end of my days! Wherever you go I will support you ...Thanks for this precious little poem!I love you my little bear!"
And Gus came up to him and hugged him for a long, long while!
