With the new year comes a new me!

So I'm proud to announce my (first) new fursona, or "fishsona" in this case :3 Say hello to the first of my two new ‘sonas; Salmon Fin!

My fun new self with latex and goop capabilities! A long and stretchy tail for coiling around people! He’s more visually a switch in both pred and prey roles! And a rockin’ new chubbier Dad-bod! Not to mention big webbed hands and feets for grabbin’ and pappin’! And! He’s going to exist on a scale of regular anthro salmon to full goo salmon for versatility~

I hope to have a full ref sheet out soon (as this is just a lineart so I'd have something to post) with colors and parts better described for everyone. <3 Not to mention my secondary ‘sona; an all goo based anteater with some fun design elements!

As I mentioned in my journal, I came across another person's post and memoir of their old sona getting permavored. I recommend giving it a read, unless Perma is a hard no for you, as it was a very nice read. It really forced me to think, and ultimately made me question "If I lost mouse-Fin forever, how would I feel?" and I came to the conclusion that; wouldn't be that upset, if at all. I realized I wasn't too happy with mouse Fin.

Don't get me wrong, I still am glad I got to have him, as he was an amazing starting point for me! But! I had my qualms:

His old design despite my efforts was continuously read as a twink despite the dad-bod esque look I thought was obvious in his design. Some other elements like his glasses and painted nails used to be things I loved doing IRL but, due to the pandemic, I moved away from. Sadly.

I felt limited in his design, as well. I love so many things in the furry community, both kink and non-kink. I found, however, that my plain mouse self was kinda holding me back in some regards. Goo content being a big one that I've only found my fondness for growing more and more! And, yes, I could have made him goopy, but it didn't feel right with his design. Same with my switchiness in regards to vore. I did experiment with mouse Fin as a pred but it was limited. (I also kept getting clocked as just prey)

Another thing, I didn’t even pick his species originally. A friend picked out a mouse for my first fursona because my love for sewing reminded them of the mice from Cinderella. So being able to pick my own species this time was deeply refreshing! Also picking a salmon felt fun and unique, but still incredibly versatile!

So! What’s happening to my old sona?
If you didn't know, my new year’s resolution is to not use mouse fin at all this year. This is two-fold. 1. So i can’t go back to what’s comfortable, and 2. To force me to use my other OCs. He’s benched until 2023. And when that time comes I’ll decide what I’m doing with him. I can’t say for sure what that is whether or not that’s saying goodbye forever or potentially keeping him benched for alternative uses. What I can say; is that Fin is fat until further notice. (Indefinite pudge <3 On who is a story for later ;3)
