Mdogo the honey badger hasn't managed to swallow a human yet, so he's been working on gradually larger prey by eating the dogs Tame Camp visitors bring him.
He thinks it's pretty unfair that the camp supervisor doesn't like him eating the dogs when other animals are allowed to eat (willing prey) people with no repercussions.
This Christmas present will go a long way to soothe his feelings. The dog doesn't like the way the little honey badger is looking at him and will enjoy what happens next even less, because Mdogo isn't about to pass up the chance to test his limits with the largest dog yet.
P.S. While Mdogo doesn't care how the dog ended up giftwrapped, some of you might. This was a rather nasty dog that would have ended up gassed at the local shelter if he hadn't ended up here. A local policeman affiliated with animal control got him the dog in return for Mdogo hooking him up with a lioness.

I was working on a story about this dog business on the way to a furry con this weekend and couldn't seem to make much progress. Instead I spent the whole con drawing seven frames of Mdogo and the dog. When the story eventually does get done it'll be pointed out that "That dog was as big as a small human" and Mdogo will say "I know" and grin. He's getting there. 83
Couldn't help but think about that "fraudulent extra-naughty" clause from earlier... Which, at first, made me worry for Mdogo's safety... But then made me think this:
Mdogo: "I really shouldn't. There's a lot of risk involved."
Policeman: "No, it's cool. He was going to be gassed anyway."
Mdogo: "Well... That just means he was unwanted. It doesn't necessarily mean-"
Policeman: "He put his last owner in the hospital."
Mdogo: "Well... Depending on the owner, that could mean-"
Policeman: "Her other two dogs saved her life. And her virginity."
Mdogo: "Ah, okay, that's-"
Policeman: "His name's-"
Mdogo: "No don't tell me that! Then I'll feel-"
Policeman: "Biscuit."
(long awkward pause)
Mdogo: (snort laughs)
