Anubis dispose comme beaucoup de ces semblables, le pouvoir de dissimuler sa présence. Cette capacité appelé Manteau d'ombre, lui permet de prendre la forme d'une ombre dans l'obscurité. Grâce à cela, le chacal devient presque totalement invisible et peut facilement dissimuler sa présence pour se cacher ou pour suivre une proie. Le manteau d'ombre n'est cependant efficace que dans l'obscurité et une forte lumière, qu'elle soit naturelle ou magique annulera le pouvoir vampirique, faisant réapparaitre le chacal.

Anubis, like many of his fellows, has the power to conceal his presence. This ability called Cloak of Shadow, allows him to take the form of a shadow in the dark. Thanks to this, the jackal becomes almost completely invisible and can easily conceal its presence to hide or to follow prey. The Shadow Cloak is only effective in darkness, however, and strong light, whether natural or magical, will negate the vampiric power, causing the jackal to reappear.
