So here we have a lenghty art-trade I did with Cavalry Cat on twitter https://twitter.com/CavalryCat1/media that started small and steadily grew insize untill I had a full compliment of baddie cultists^^
This is set in a world where a apocalyptic event has happend that has made the world society to collaps, enter the church of "insert name" (he hasn't come up with a name yet) a cult who is prepared for the apocalypse as they has already stocked up on weapons and is very agreessive in their "recruiting"
Here we see the differnt outfits for the differnt ranks of cultist starting with:
- Top row: which are the regular grunt who has access to lever action rifles and semi automatic rifles
-Bottom right and mid: are the cultists with background as hunters, these use bolt action rifles and sniper rifles, picking off rival gangs from afar.
- Bottom left: are the Elite cultists, the most dedicated ones with history as ex-military or former police. they wear the best gear they can get hold of, wearing gasmasks and fully automatic weapons

Obviously these cultists would be villains and nowhere as friendly as your rebels but they look to be cool characters with interesting personalities and backstories, as well as showing the variety that would be in the faction. Your artwork I think is ideal with this though, characters always coming to life as individuals and never just faceless mooks.
oh yeah thanks! I'm very pleased with this, I always aim to make people first and then put them in situations like them getting swept up into a cult. I actually started getting alot of ideas for each of these people as I drew them so it's kinda sad to give them away.
though I might draw the cougar in some spicy situations in the future ;)

aww thanks man! I had a really good time working on these without not putting any expectations on me, just accepting how they came out. And I must say I really should do that more often, since I usually give up on a drawign before it gets to the lineart stage since I can't be pleased with the poses or anatomy
Huh. The symbol kinda looks a bit like the Christian fish symbol used when hiding from persecution. I imagine some might find that offensive, but I make no assumptions. Besides, cults tend to pull their ideas from other faiths much of the time, and Christians are no exception. Even if many of us would prefer they left Jesus out of their craziness. =P
Still, a fish symbol would be an interesting mark for a cult. As Chesterton noted in one of his Father Brown stories, it's the fish that survive the deluge.

Hmm, yeah. Doesn't look like an arrow to me, but I suppose it could be revised. Or just keep it as it is and have the cultists get really offended when someone points out the obvious. =P Because sometimes people choose to believe something and stop thinking, assuming they even started in the first place!
