September is certainly not summer, but the trip has been going on, so for me it has definitely not gone yet. Sakhalin together with Astarcis !! It was so exciting, so beautiful and fun! Almost every day we went to all sorts of waterfalls, climbed hills, watched fish spawning near rivers. For a very long time one fish could not climb upstream. She just jumps, starts swimming, then she doesn't have enough strength and she falls down again. And all this went on over and over again, and we stood and cheered for her. Even on Sakhalin, almost all the plants are VERY LARGE, interesting burdocks grew there, which we used as hats. In addition to adventures in the hills, we also explored the sea coast. They fished crabs on the shallows, even saw the skeleton of a killer whale, ran away from the waves and gazed intently at the horizon, looking for seals there.
Sometimes on hikes we got into the rain and I, who was not yet accustomed to a different time zone, could just lie down on Astarcis's shoulder and fall asleep, such is a temporary super-ability. And I also remembered how on one of the return roads we just walked along the path and sang different songs. It's so nice to sing in good company! Also, it was a great surprise for me that adults, Astarcis parents, would go hiking with us, I got used to something else. And I didn’t expect it to be so emotional! I am insanely grateful to them and Astarcis for this, I felt like a part of their family, although I stayed there for only 2 weeks, and when I left I almost burst into tears. There were also lovely evening gatherings with a tea, good jokes, dedication to the nature of Sakhalin, and a lot of warmth. And also BERRIES, there they are special. Blueberries are not the same as in our house, KLOPOVKA with the taste of mother's pea soup and LOTS of cowberry, which I have depicted. It grew along all the hills and I mercilessly destroyed it, constantly slowed down and sat in the bushes, at the end of the trip my tongue was already aching from the fact that the lingonberry had burned everything with its acid, but who stops it ? And I was also conquered by the cedar elfin, I used it as a refuge, I really liked it.
