It had begun as a nagging curiosity—or perhaps more the desire to find some way to harness it's energy to repair the metaphorical void in their own self—but Vy soon found themselves drawn back to the Nether again and again, lured by the voices' assurances that salvation was not only possible, but guaranteed.

By the time Vy noticed how much of the ichor had clung to their consciousness, it was far too late, and a desperate and panicked attempt to purge the psychic stain only hastened the gremlin's corruption.
