I love making mini-tophats and though..well why not do one that looks like a fox.
The hat is covered in felt and the tail is made from a white fleece like fabric that has been airbrushed orange. The inside is lined with black duct tape for stability, and the ties and decorative edging at the bottom are done with a cream ribbon.
For the first one I thought the little guy turned out fairly cute.

I have been playing around with that idea ^-^.
The thing is I use a very heavy poster board as the basic structure. Then line the inside of that with duct-tape, or fabric, depending on if the buyer specifies for fabric. It holds up very well and also helps protect the poster-board from getting wet.
