and I are members of NAF ( http://www.jarlidium.com/naf.html ) where I've been publishing an expanded version of my Thursday Prompt story, Door in the Mountain. Bucky has enjoyed the first couple chapters enough that he drew these based on a couple of the scenes. My favorite is the Highway Patrol illustration, he got the scene pretty much exactly as I imagined it while I wrote it. I love the flippy antenna.

This really means a lot to me, I've been so consumed with getting the papers together to get the house taken care of, then flying off for my surgery and all, I was thinking of dropping out of NAF. These couple pictures, knowing that someone out there is enjoying my story enough that they drew inspiration from it... It gives me the boost I needed to keep me going.
