I suppose. I am not a fan of that series due to the sloppy writing, though it is not the worst of manga/animes that has appear in terms of writing, though it is popular visually. Perhaps the style here along with the uniform and pose is what strikes me in that manor. Not sure, but I get a bit of beastars vibe from it.

Big preesh! I just figure if I'm gonna do Sonic, I'm gonna do him my way, otherwise I'm just making somebody else's art y'know? Like "if I were given the reigns of a Sonic property where would I go"; some people go Wind Waker, I went Twilight Princess

Not many good versions of a more humanoid Sonic (the original movie design being one of the worst ones), but this one is one of the few better ones thats for sure.
