Craig of the Creek is one of my favorite current cartoons on TV right now. I was immediately hooked when I found out that there were different clicks within the creek. I love shows like this. It allows for a lot of different matching and mixing of a plethora of characters, and can create a lot of fun unique interactions. A good example of this is the "Ice Pop Trio." The show started out strong, and got even stronger when it started building up to what ended up being the season 3 finale.
Why a duck? No idea ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
*CRAIG OF THE CREEK SPOILERS BELOW!"
Going into the capture the flag five part season finale, I didn't really know what to expect. Knowing that seasons 4 was already confirmed, part of me thought that Craig might actually lose, and that season 4 might be dedicated to some kind of resistance plot. Luckily Craig won, and what a battle it was. I was so hyped when I saw the trailer and saw all these unique characters finally all coming together in one massive interaction. Sure there were some characters left out that I think should have been there, such as the Tea Timers or the Elders, but I'll take what I can get. I compared it to Avengers Endgame, as you've had all these characters introduced over time, and they all finally join forces in one giant battle. It was a good season finale to say the least.
Going into the finale, one thing I thought would happen for sure was a Maya redemption arc, but it didn't happen! I'm sure that this will be addressed in season 4. I get why she didn't make up with Omar. She threw her real friendship away to be nearer to some rich kind who only used her for status. The king didn't really care about her. In the end, her betrayal to Omar led to nothing. She's back to where she was before she met the king, minus any real relationship. I imagine a story line similar to Jasper from Steven Universe. Or, maybe some characters just don't get redemption, although if Carter can be redeemed, I'm sure Maya will be as well.
Speaking of, I wonder what will happen in season 4. I feel like all the talk of the history of the creek is going to be talked more. Such as the original capture the flag game. I originally thought that the divide formed Craig's side and the King's side, but the timeline doesn't make sense, as the overpass is a lot newer than the original capture flag game. I really hope this gets more explored in the next season. Also lowkey want a movie where the kids come together again to beat land developers or something. Could be pretty cool.
I don't get to talk about this show a lot, because the subreddit is mostly full of people shipping kids and deciding character's sexualities, or creating theories that characters are racist because they don't like Craig. Total cringefest.
