Normally I don't upload my music here, but I noticed the Express Yourself Music Contest and thought I'd join in for fun. I was in the music-writing mood because of the upcoming update for The Mystery of Caketropolis, and doing these 1 minute tracks was a nice practice for that.

I wrote this tracks specifically for the contest, and try to encompass the things I enjoy in music. Working with subtle synths and acoustic drums. Simple but melodic riffs. Dark undertones. Melodramatic piano. Recording my guitar if there's an opportunity for it. The progression from quiet to loud. Even the title is a reference to an album that was influential to my own music.

It was challenging trying to condense the track down to one minute, and I think I did an alright job of it. Was fun working on this!
