After a long battle, Nova, Skye and Kleon rested at Kleonβs place to stock up and get ready for the next mission.
Skye was checking all the photos she has taken in the past months: selfies, portraits and even landscapes could be found on her gallery, she loved to record the places and people they met for posterity, she suddenly realized that, even though they met many years ago, she didnβt have a proper portrait of her friend Nova βI canβt believe it, this is outrageous!β she thought. She was determined to ask her if she could take one, even if it wasnβt an easy task: Nova didnβt like such things.
After several minutes insisting, Nova gave in rolling her eyes and smiling at her friendβs determination β βFine! Just take itβ
Great! Thank you! Say cheese! β Skye said grinning.
Novaβs serious expression was replaced with a genuine smile, to Skyeβs surprise. She stared at the photo a few seconds before Nova spoke: βSo? How does it look?β
Itβs PERFECT!! You look amazing! β Skye couldnβt hide her excitement; Nova raised an eyebrow, looking a bit confused.
Hey! Whatβs all that fuss about? β Kleon asked while entering the room.
You have to look at THIS! You wonβt believe it!! β She screamed while showing him the picture. Kleon was dumbfounded β Wait, is that Nova? I canβt believe it, you edited it! β He claimed in doubt.
I didnβt! β Skye replied fast β I just took it, it IS real! I donβt edit my photos Kleon, you know that! β She said offended by Kleonβs comment.
They kept arguing about it for hours. Nova barely took a glimpse of it and, just like them, was shocked about it, itβs been a while since the last time she smiled like that.
The thought that her old self was still there warmed her heart.

I wanted to post something about Nova since 2019, when I posted this pic,
it was the moment I announced she was going to be a character and not my persona, she hardly was, to begin with xD
Fully colored illustrations take a lot more than flat colored pics (Like the chibi one) and I really wanted to
do a highly detailed picture of her so I knew I needed enough time to do what I had in mind.
I also wanted to add a story, something short but enough to give you a glimpse of how Nova, Skye and Kleon interact with each other ^w^
I'm glad I was able to finish this! x3
