Nov 14, 2042- Day 55

Friends came over today to try and cheer me up after the court arraignment. Even though I personally didn’t think the trial was all that traumatizing to require a party over it I’m not exactly going to turn them away. Unfortunately, a lot of the things I used to have when doing a comfort type party I’m no longer allowed to have. No chocolate, no booze. Even ice cream is starting to get a bit iffy considering the fact I’m starting to become increasingly lactose intolerant.

This is a bit more complicated in that my hand dexterity has almost all but vanished. I can still hold and manipulate objects for the time being but it’s on a very general sense. It’s as if I have a pair of mittens strapped permanently to my hand. It’s not quite that bad yet, but normal cards are a problem. Dice are apparently far less so but I can only really roll one at a time.

So we ended up settling on playing some board games. And as much as people go on about how monopoly destroys friendships and whatnot, when it’s the only thing in the house that you can do with your friends and still feel relatively normal there really aren’t many things out there that could reinforce your friendship.
