Welcome again to Rood's Head Park in Lockeport, N.S. ! Lots of neat things live and grow in the shadows and among the quiet, secret places. Pretty pink and orange mushrooms. Lush, rich green moss. Colourful little salamanders who move quickly and pearlescent-shelled snails who don't.
A friend saw this and thought that the trees in the lower middle picture were on fire. I didn't notice that when I took the picture, but I certainly see it now! The setting sun played a trick of the light. I didn't bother telling him that if I found myself in a burning forest, I'd be looking to get out, not hanging around taking pictures...
