I wrote this a long ass time ago... Or, not so long ago. It was a while, anyhow. I had originally intended for it to go into the Neopian Times, despite the rather blatantly obvious yuri-ness of it. Heck, they let my other story "Not forever, just for now" go through, and that one was seriously shoujo-ai. But, twice submitted, twice rejected. Now it goes here.

I like the idea of Princess Fernypoo and Capara being an item. It's not only scandal fodder, but it works on a practical level. They make up for each other's deficiencies. And look damn cute together.

On the title: At the San Diego Comic Con one year, I picked up a little freebie with a short four panel comic on it. It featured people watching Smallville and commenting. The jist of the first character's argument was that whenever Lex and Clark were alone, the homoerotic subtext was strong. The other was less than convinced. They then showed a scene of the two, consisting of Clark asking Lex if he believed that he was meant to be with someone, and Lex responding with only an intense look. The doubtful character gasped with the shock of realization and understanding. Then a third character offhandedly commented, "They should be sharing a dessert." It has always stuck with me.
