Manager: Hey Don, we open in an hour, is our star nearly ready to go?
Don: Almost, just...
Freddy: I think that's the proooobl- ARRG!
Just a scene where an animatronic engineer gives the old school Freddy (that is, the one from the first game) a nice little tune up before business is open. Of course, things look very different because this is well, one of those dreaded head canon/AU things.
So for my take on the franchise, we know that Fazbear is a corporation, and that corporations often have divisions. Thus, for my take, I'm focusing on what is simply known as the "West Coast" or "Hollywood/Vegas" division of Fazbear Corp. If you were to ever wonder how Fazbear was to stay in business, it's because of this division of the company who can actually run a fairly safe business and still turn a nice fat profit. With Freddy Fazbear Pizzarias in Irvine, Palm Springs, Las Vegas, and Laughlin, there is no shortage of money and talent that can truly make the "fantasy come to life".
Of course, I say "fairly safe" because nothing is perfect. While the west coast division doesn't have to worry about any serial killers, they do have to worry about adult patrons in general. Because of Hollywood and Vegas, these pizzarias have to be a bit more "adult", which means having things like antique pinball tables, serving alcoholic drinks (and we all know how well that makes public places full of screaming children, right?), offering more than just pizza (think salads and subs), and of course, the animatronic themselves being designed to not just appeal to kids, but adults as well. It's why Freddy here looks more your bumbling uncle than say, what he usually looks like. He actually wears a button up shirt and vest, but it's off so he can be fixed for any glitches at the moment. As for Don the engineer? Eh, he's just another worker at the moment. Again, this is an alternate story-line, I'm not gonna go deep diving into lore that's about as clean cut as any of the major comic book franchises.
Oh, did I mention that is still in the early 90s too at the moment? I guess being close to the big money city and silicon valley have their benefits, eh?
But what about the Glamrocks and the big Pizzaplex? Well that comes later (mostly I don't know if I want in either Vegas or Irvine, since they're the most profitable and practical locations in the scope of my alternate take). I basically want to create two stories; one that focuses on the last days of the pizzaria before it gets closed down to be turned into the pizzaplex, and the stress the employees and animtronics face with the impeding end (oh, and a certain virus causing business problems), while the second one is more focused on how the animtronics have gotten so advanced they're practically people and have myriad of psychological problems, and how the human staff have to deal with some of the worst customers ever... And it's more character focused too, focusing on your favorite... Chica and random janitor 7! The pizzaplex story was actually the first thing I came up with, but I figured I'd want to do a set up for it first... So here's to that, I suppose.
You know, with all this energy put into this, why didn't I just come up with an original company and robots of my own? Oh wait, I forgot, it's because I'm cringe...
