An image I did of one of the main characters of the novel The Worth of a Shell, one of the alien Jokka. The person requesting the piece wanted something Art Nouveau, so I went with it. :) Done with art marker.

You have a great grasp of female anatomy; your gallery is proof of that. Of course, I love the art nouveau style, but I think this drawing has a nice amount of personal touch and style to it. It doesn't look like a re-drawing of Mucha, like many similar drawings do. I also love your palette, even though I'm not a purple fan; it works great with the greys. Overall, great drawing, :3
Thank you! I tend not to think of myself as a fan of purple, but it's too useful a color because of how much yellow I use: it's a good balancing contrast.
I am thinking of re-visiting the Mucha style now that I could probably achieve something closer to his more painterly works. We shall see.
Thank you for your detailed comment! :)

I bought my boyfriend (longtime fan) the Worth of a Shell earlier this year and then bummed it off him when he was done; it was a really great read, and I have to say it really was quite a tearjerker at some of the most unexpected moments. Dlane looks really lovely here, and I like that even though she looks so feminine, there's nothing about the way she holds herself that suggests a weakness of personality.
It'd be great to see you publishing more works set in this world, since I for one am deathly curious to know what happens after the events of Shell.
There's one point of curiosity I'm not sure if you've drawn/addressed elsewhere-- what DO the Jokka look like when they cry? I'm not sure if I've ever seen you illustrate them.

I am delighted that you enjoyed the book! I'm currently releasing a lot of Jokka short stories in e-book format, since people keep poking me about more work and I haven't written any novel-length pieces since.
As for Jokka crying... *scrounges* Here you go: http://stardancer.org/art/jekunstorymontage.jpg
