I was not previously aware of the NotRaiders before coming across this image, but after finding the source material, this is certainly one way to make them appear truly threatening.
Rather than a cartoon nullified NO of a face, controlling the subject directly, reworking the suit to fit the aesthetic, and the use of implanting the signature NO in the character's eyes alongside highly specific use of lens flare effects combined with shading contrasts to draw attention to the eyes and instill a vague sense of dread serves that purpose well.
Sure, there may be a wavering, drooling grin as part of the control in place here and as a slightly comical effect, but that is one layer of multiple.
Anyway, that is enough rambling on my part. I felt like assessing the image in detail as opposed to just saying Well Done, but hopefully it was worthwhile. If I should stop, just say so.
