Maurice has basic hunting skills, but rarely gets large prey. Lucky for him he's an exceptionally small bunki and thus compared to Rob-bun he needs like maybe a fifth of the food to survive. Here he's caught a rat, maybe a mouse. It's likely still alive, just in shock, who knows.
