This is essentially a WIP for another story I'm working on. It's an explanation as to Eugene's name change, and a synopsis for the story regarding the Munchlax.

Bio: One year into attending The Pokemon Combat Academy Eugene Laxel's parents decided to move and take their son with them from Viridian City in Kanto to Veilstone City in Sinnoh. Upon arriving to their new home Eugene asked his parents when he started at this region's academy. Apparently, his parents (his father especially) believed that he should give up this “fighter's fantasy” and start his schooling in the culinary arts. Eugene was horrified that his parents believed that his wanting to attend the PCA was a flight of fancy that he would grow out of. After a very loud shouting match (that also involved Eugene flipping the dinner table on it's side as he left) Eugene stormed out into the cold night. A week passed finding the young Munchlax on a less than reputable side of town, cold, hungry, and exhausted. He stumbled into what he thought was an empty lot to find a temple (much like a shaolin temple). Near the main building he saw a young Froslass sweeping the stone floor of the temple ground's exterior. Eugene stumbled over to her to ask her for help before he made it half the distance his body gave out and he collapsed in the middle of the courtyard. He awoke some time later to find himself on the floor of a warm room covered in blankets with a male Infernape sitting in a chair next to him. His name was Thomas Chen the man who ran the temple and informed him that they also taught basic battle techniques to wayward souls such as himself. After Eugene had recovered his strength he explained to Thomas why he was out on his own like this. Thomas suggested that he go back and talk to his parents about this, the Infernape even offered to go with him as support. Eugene's parents were not at all surprised that their son had come back “so soon” citing it as proof that he doesn't have the drive do something so strenuous as the PCA. After a lengthy conversation about how little they believed in their son's potential Thomas took out a stack of papers and waved to someone outside on the street. The papers were adoption forms and the person was his lawyer. Eugene's parents offered little resistance and signed custody of their son over to Thomas right there. Eugene was schooled at the temple by Zinn (Yanmega) and Thomas and also trained him in combat arts. Eugene is now a member of the Temple/Gym staff. During a meditation session with Zinn, Mei Yi (The Froslass), and Thomas, Eugene evolved into a Snorlax.
