One of 2 protagonist in the 1982 animated film, The Black Planet ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Black_Planet ) - Marigold was a Women's Libber activist who gets embroiled in a plot with Secret Agent Freddy Fairweather (the other Protagonist in the film) which has them traveling around the world ... on the only two islands Planet Terre Verde has, which are stand ins for the U.S. and the Soviet Union - both powers going through a massive energy crisis as years of Arms build up has their Oil Supply running dry, until the discovery of a Planet (the Black Planet) has been orbiting close to their world, when a meteor crashes onto said planet, causing a shock wave felt on Terre Verte. The Planet takes its name from a black substances that covers its surface, believing to be oil.

The movie has a Senator and a General as antagonist.

If I recall well, in the end has Marigold and Freddy board a rocket to the Black Planet, where they discovered the black substance on the planet is Hot Chocolate ... and the movie comes to an end.

The Movie is quite frankly a forgettable mess, I watch it as a kid, but stumble upon it on YouTube like 2 or 3 years ago; saw it, forgot how bad it was, ignore it and forgot about it again until I came to make this, but it was taken down.
