Wow... The detail on Cooni in some of these, coupled with that depiction of the feather, is simply amazing! I can definately see how this style adds to the overall effect of the tail while showing off even more creative talent. Oopa!
Story wise, I would say Nishi has shown that time with Fuxie has evolved his thinking and bravery. However, he still seems a bit lost without someone to be there to support him. It's like all that confidence he had at first in achieving his mission was drained away after a few quality words with Cooni. Knowing this, and already seeing how things turn out, really does help show the overall character development of Nishi as time passes by.
Lastly, and this likely a repeat, I enjoy seeing Cooni have more to himself than just the whole Q&A sidekick. His behavior and activity here shows there's definately a lot more Cooni than anyone could've ever once believed was there. He's like a gentleman wrapped up in a shy, raccoon body.

And it's definitely hard for him without Fuxie as the leader! She'd usually take up the bad things like stealing, and convince him it's okay, but without her he has to work and think on his own, and thaaat's Cooni's opportunity to influence him! (: We'll see if it works out!

Haha, yay more Nishi comics! :D It's really generous of Cooni to help out Nishi after he just got robbed, though he's maybe getting his feather back in the process so it's not so bad for him! :D It's ironic how Cooni, in running into a criminal gang that he's gonna join starts out by trying to help Nishi do the more lawful thing. X3 But it's clear enough that Cooni's also much more complex than just being law-abiding or not! *giggles* Nishi's still kinda confusable and distractable like he was in some of the earlier comics! But hopefully Cooni can help him get back on track and help Fuxie get out of prison again. And ooh I wonder how the bird's gonna help! Presumably, he's not actually gonna cover up Ms. Nuggets' butt with him! :D Thanks again for sharin' such awesome series(es), Nishi! :D
Hehe, it was thoughtful of Cooni, though, since he did really want the hat and feather back, he might have had that reason for sticking around and trying to help Nishi figure out how to do things a different way. :B And we'll see if he continues to do that as they figure out the Nuggety-Fuxie mess! And once that's done, Fuxie'll probably go back to being a bad influence for 'em both. @.@
