Lenika drew this totally cute picture of P4N-D[0]24's drone who is totally not occasionally stealing glances towards you people.Nope. That is not something that is happening.
Whyeven do you get such silly ideas.
This is obviously not the drone using "wiles" to try and lure you so she can catch you and send you inside herself to see if you can puzzle out how to repair her because she is almost dying and needs people to figure out how she works before it's too late and she is dead.
Nope. Not at all. Just a pleasant grove And a nice pic of a totally random nice lady. Yup. No glances here whatsoever. The pic is totally not animated.

apngs have been around for 13 years https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/APNG 😅 and i have uploaded several APNGs in my gallery. Mostly for """jumpscares""" like this one. (though usually they take 1 minute to happen instead of 10 seconds)
As i said.
An animated PNG and a PNG are the same file format, since PNGs technically can use layers as well as transparency.
The only thing that was added in the APNG format was "timing to show" the various layers.
Now.
If they had also added a way to not remove the previous layer before showing the next, by adding just the difference... just like gifs do... that would have been much better.
But here we are.

Unless Pandora was of the derangedly-obsessive "You will learn to fix me or DIE!" sort, I honestly don't think there'd be too much trouble for me when abducted. I don't have much in my life that requires me to be elsewhere. I'd give a good-faith effort using my marginal skills... cleaning out debris-fouled areas, splicing wire, stripping parts from truly savaged extraneous systems to bring higher-priority areas online, etc. Once I was reduced to stuff like oiling axles and scrubbing dirt off paneling, I'd let her know when I'd done all I could think of.
What would she do to me? I'd have done as she asked. Even if she kept me as muscle in a growing abducted work team, I imagine she'd at least have the probe get my things so I could fully move into a safe space.

I mean... in my mind Pandora always talks like a villain (regardless of the situation) and does not "talk. like. a. robot." so in my mind if i had to give her any voice it's more like more like "Gloating Maleficent"

So if any dialogue were to be in this picture it would be... "ah, yes, this should be sufficient for making this drone look desirable. This rabble should learn to respect proper works of art like me. But i guess i will have to debase myself to their levels."

The "BZZT! Me-am-robot!" speech pattern was a throw-away comedic thought, meant to fit how clueless she seems now. She looks adorable in naivety. But a simple temporary spray-on paint job would work a lot better, making the probe look very cute. And it allows her to be the attracting factor.
I really didn't expect the villain-speech thing she actually does though. I imagined if anything, she'd really have a sound of impatient exasperation while talking with humans.

Oh, yes she does not remember much and is naive. But her speech pattern stayed the same.
As for the humans she would call them her "minions" and require that she be served. Which is why she needs to "steal" some humans as it is hard to serve somebody who literally commands you as a noblewoman without being one.
