Thank you. :)
Umm..."paintings like these," meaning paintings that aim for realism? I've been painting for about 4 years total. Though all my paintings were more abstract (wow, and I just remembered all my old old crap is still on VCL).
But, I started attempting realism recently when last semester in college satrted...so that was like....6 months ago or so?

It is very good! The snout really pops out of the picture very well!
The only thing that seemed off to me was the lighting, where the background is so dark compared to the dog.
BUt that could have been the conditions that either the painting/ picture was taken in . (I say picture since I am not sure if you used a Photograph for reference)
ALL IN ALL GREAT JOB! =3

But I don't really have patience for that kidn of stuff. Whenever I do painting it's impressionistic, or it looks better the farther you get, because the generalization of detail makes a better picture from far away.
Which don't get me wrong is a pretty cool thing. I just don't think I have the patience to do something the same way you did.

heyyy thanks :3
And that comment about it not being on THEIR walls was because I spent a lot of time on it, and felt attached to it, and it was done for my class...so I just didn't feel it right to give them a class assignment that I wasn't even very pleased with anyway personally.
Granted, I felt like a dick though, for saying no.
