Although originally a simple Wimpod from times long lost, Kelviks life changed when he stumbled upon an ancient ruins filled whose origins unknown. Within these ruins were numerous giant Z-Crystals, and by sleeping beside the Steelium-Z Crystal its ambient energies caused him to evolve - and the result changing his biology to be that of a Steel-Type. This evolution connected Kelviks to the crystals of the ruins - in which connected him to the ruins themselves. With this connection he is capable of tapping into the power of the crystals, allowing him to manipulate the ancient contraptions of the ruins as well as draw power to himself to enhance his power to untold levels.
Due to the crystals making him ageless - and the fact that the power they grant doesn't go past the walls of the ruins, he spent untold years inside the structure. Using the contraptions of the ruins and his own claws, he slowly cleaned and repaired what he could to make the place more of a home. When it eventually became suitable, he spent his time studying the ruins and understanding its true workings with his connection to the crystals. Eventually he realized that the place was meant to be an arena of sort, its purpose to test and prove the prowess of mighty warriors. Kelviks named this place the Arena of Ancients, a name he thought fitting.
Armed with this knowledge, Kelviks spread the information to any who would happen travel near the Arena of Ancients in hope of it reaching ears far and wide. Any who would reach the Arena would fight the ultimate challenge - Kelviks himself.
As of currently none have beaten Kelviks for his strength was too great. Although the amount of challengers have decreased considerably, Kelviks has expanded his influence in the form of several warriors joining his care. These warriors act as additional challenges for any who wish to test their prowess, and by beating these warriors will one prove that they are capable of at least standing some sort of chance against the mighty Golispod.
---
Despite his large and intimidating appearance, Kelviks is a friendly giant. When others visit the Arena, he opens its doors to provide shelter - even if said individuals have no interest in taking on its challenges. He cares greatly for all within the Arena's walls - both the warriors that have joined them and travels alike. Due to him having only recently learned the modern language of the land he's in, he speaks in broken sentences and refers to himself in third person.
---
Although a normal Golisopod outside of the Arena of Ancient's walls, inside where he's connected to the crystals is where his greatest power is revealed. His strength and durability is enhanced to even greater levels, allowing him to take on foes his species would normally have difficulty with. He can further tap into the crystals to draw their power to his frame - evident by the glowing on his frame, further enhancing his strength and durability to untold levels.
Additionally he possesses an adrenal gland like that of most Golisopods - described as 'First Impression' and 'Emergency Exit' by trainers. When activated, it gives him an immense burst of speed that allows him to strike or flee before a foe could have any chance of reacting. However due to the limitations of the gland only being able to be used twice before needing time to recover, this trait is often used at the start of the battle and when he is gravely injured.
"New challenger, yesss...? Kelviks...welcomes you...to the Arena...of Ancients. Fight...and prove your worth! Kelviks...will be waiting." - Kelviks.
