Umm... yeah so this dude 
colson who a lot of musical furries may already know is asking people chip in and do something with a guitar intrumental he submitted recently and this is something I came up with today.
My throat's really sore so I didn't sing this very well... >.< but it was a lot of fun adding a melody and lyrics to this blank canvas.
Yeah, I can whistle pretty strongly as well XD as you can hear at the start.
As per usual I've gone for an emo theme. Well it sorta just happened upon hearing the guitar track.
So to be clear, the rhythm guitar is played by colson
The vocals/harmonies/whistling(lol) and flanged picking pattern plus the lyrics and melody were all added in by me.
Thanks Colson, I had fun :3 It was a cute idea to let people play around with this.

Well I wanted to post up what I had so far and maybe redo it and add more harmonies, but my pc decided to give up the ghost today!! Argh. If I manage to fix it I may be able to sort this out better but I don't know how I can manage it if my pc is officially dead for some reason x__x!

Its odd for me trying to write a song with someone elses backing as a base, so I felt a bit uncertain singing it. I hope if I get to give it another shot I could give it more strength somehow. Its an odd key with a high melody and requires a strong way of singing it I think, which I feel oi can do better. My sore throat didn't help either!
If my pc isn't dead, I may get another go at this. I have to wait and see if I can revive it tomorrow :x

Yeah its a little odd singing a song I wrote quickly according to someone elses backing. I'm used to the song now but when I recorded it I had a short time to get it done and didn't gel with it as well as I probably would if I were to give it another go.

I was hoping you'd chime in and do something! I wasn't disappointed. You're a very talented singer and you did a fantastic job! Keep the vocals around as I may end up requesting them from you to do a mix and master for the album, as you'll most certainly be a front runner based on the performance here.

Oh that's great... I'm glad it was ok. I know its a little awkward but I may try to "perfect" it a little when I get a chance (if I do... My pc actually just gave up the ghost today :s). If it turns out the computer is dead I will need to redo this in order to give you anything unless I can recover the data. We will have to see what the verdict is after I replace the psu tomorrow.
Anyway. I wish I could have sung this better but I am glad you find it acceptable. And thank you so much for taking a listen, I'm quite pleased!

Hmm I haven't thought about it as a duet. It isn't out of the question at all. I've never written a song which was a duet, I think maybe it is different to writing a solo song.
I don't mind singing with other people at all :3 but I'm not good at choosing songs so you would have to do that bit ;)

It's rare to hear a singer who doesn't use AutoTune nowadays and it puts a big smile on my face when I listen to you sing =)
You have a fantastic singing voice and talent! You have control of your voice and you know how to use it.
To nitpick on one thing, however: Your breathing technique could be improved. I can hear you struggling with the higher notes and a few of the transitions between the bars.
It didn't at all affect my listening experience, though; I thoroughly enjoyed it ^^

Well, thank you very much indeed :) I hate autotune :< It's abused needlessly these days, which I just dislike because it's like singing is a lost art in the mainstream at least... which is sad indeed. :/
I have never had any vocal training or done much singing outside of my bedroom :x! I am sure I could improve my singing and the way I achieve the right sound etc. In this particular instance I didn't get the opportunity to choose a comfortable key since this was someone else's instrumental, and also I was suffering another bad throat episode x___x;;; I've had a few of those lately so I was pushing myself. Then my PC died so I had no time to fix the things I can hear are wrong either... and then I moved house! I got too busy to improve upon this version, and it's a shame because I wanted to do my best for Colson before he pushed the album out. But, oh well... at least I had fun doing this. I really did enjoy it and it's nice to do something a bit different to my usual style too!

o.o nice! youre intimidating me! making me think of "consolation prizes" of Colson... like ey.. maybe i can add some of my instrumentation to one of these lovely vocal tracks? hahaha.

Aww XD That's great! He's so talented and I am so pleased that his album is selling well. I saw a lot of support for him on his journals and such and it makes me happy that he is getting the much deserved recognition. Bah I wish! I dont have great equipment and I don't really have the ideal set up here at home, sharing a house with a shift worker and a parrot makes my life (musically) a pain in the arse. I don't want to get evicted either lol! XD!
