For Colson - "What Happened" (Mandolin WIP)

Umm... yeah so this dude 
sweetleaves who a lot of musical furries may already know is asking people chip in and do something with a guitar intrumental he submitted recently and this is something I came up with today.
My throat's really sore so I didn't sing this very well... >.< but it was a lot of fun adding a melody and lyrics to this blank canvas.
Yeah, I can whistle pretty strongly as well XD as you can hear at the start.
As per usual I've gone for an emo theme. Well it sorta just happened upon hearing the guitar track.
So to be clear, the rhythm guitar is played by sweetleaves
The vocals/harmonies/whistling(lol) and flanged picking pattern plus the lyrics and melody were all added in by me.

You definitely got into it after that first bit though and it sounds really good ^ ^
The song itself is pretty clumsy on purpose but the first line isn't how I intended :< Might amend it later.

I know of the cranberries, I remember when I was younger I used to like a particular song by them. I think I know what you're saying about the similarity. Thanks for taking a listen Pepper, I appreciate it a lot as always :) x
You have a fantastic singing voice and talent! You have control of your voice and you know how to use it.
To nitpick on one thing, however: Your breathing technique could be improved. I can hear you struggling with the higher notes and a few of the transitions between the bars.
It didn't at all affect my listening experience, though; I thoroughly enjoyed it ^^
I have never had any vocal training or done much singing outside of my bedroom :x! I am sure I could improve my singing and the way I achieve the right sound etc. In this particular instance I didn't get the opportunity to choose a comfortable key since this was someone else's instrumental, and also I was suffering another bad throat episode x___x;;; I've had a few of those lately so I was pushing myself. Then my PC died so I had no time to fix the things I can hear are wrong either... and then I moved house! I got too busy to improve upon this version, and it's a shame because I wanted to do my best for Colson before he pushed the album out. But, oh well... at least I had fun doing this. I really did enjoy it and it's nice to do something a bit different to my usual style too!
