The one and only! His name is pronounced the same way as Iris.
Name: Yrus
Age: Exists outside of time
Species: Wendigo (progenitor)
Height: 13'11"
Weight: Unknown
Orientation: Heterosexual
Occupation: Divine Emperor of Mortality
Bio: Much like other Primordials, Yrus is among the oldest beings in existence, though he has never and will never age. He is the designer of all wendigos, as well as fathering many other entities, much like other deities. His most powerful - and best known - child is Helreine, the Queen and Demigoddess residing over Limbo and Purgatory. Yrus' power extends to his disciples - Banos, the god of funerals, Idall, the god of the underworld, Rhumes, the god of judgement, Iaos, the god of chaos, Samorna, the goddess of war, and Zatreus, the god of shadows; where he has given them residence in his dark hall and knowledge of all those regarding to evil and mortality. Despite this, Yrus is not exactly evil. He exists without morality and conscious. Long ago, Yrus desired his own species in creation, so he stole important artifacts from the gods of medicine and the hunt, corrupting the creations of the goddess of life to bring twisted spirits to the bodies of long-dead cervids. However, he was unsatisfied with the autonomatons he gave life to, as they were little more than mindless zombies. Over thousands of years and ignoring the pleas and complaints of his brethren, Yrus was slowly able to perfect those he created in his own image until they possessed similar power to himself. Soon, wendigos became the powerful entities we know today. Though the "truest" wendigos are cervine in appearance, the most common way one comes about is through the curse he kept hold of for so many millenia, which afflicts any creature that lives, breathes and eats. The biggest difference between Yrus and the wendigos is that he does not have an endless hunger. Yrus is still able to raise the dead from the abyss, and has many times done so to punish civilization and craft monstrous guardians for he and his kin. The only way to offend Yrus is to attempt to cheat death or attempt to demonize the old gods; it is best his wrath not be incurred.
Likes: His kin, the species he created, the embrace of mortality
Dislikes: Those who cheat death, modern religion
Hobbies: Non-Applicable

Funnily enough, I think that my shadow god Zatreus might be more Pirate's kind of guy than Yrus. Basically, while Yrus is the progenitor of all wendigos and is as cold and relentless as a death god should be, he's not a big ball of malice like his disciple Zatreus. Hell, Zatreus has flat out murdered mortals who pissed him off only to revive them as undead minions, and he praises serial killers, genocidal maniacs, anarchists and similar folks! Yrus would be willing to sit down with Pirate to meet one of his most formidable soul providers, I think that Zatreus would probably knight him if the two were to meet!
