Beautiful piece of art, from the player through the accuracy of the Steinway & Sons concert grand piano.
This, as I said elsewhere, is marvellous. I can imagine him playing any number of quiet pieces of piano music, and the beautiful tones of the Steinway resonating throughout a chapel, with it’s natural resonance / reverberance accentuating the beauty of the piece of music, and the sound of the piano.
I’ve always preferred the sonic characteristics of a Steinway or Bosendorfer to that of a Yamaha C. The Yamaha grand pianos are beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but there’s something in the string tension differences that can give a Yamaha a ringing quality to the sound that the Steinway and Bosendorfer pianos don’t have.
There’s not as much string tension on a Steinway or Bosendorfer which I think helps you hear the note being played without the ringing harmonics that Yamaha grand pianos produce.

Very interesting and thank you tremendously for the kind words! I've never given myself the chance to try one or the other out, but should I venture out to a piano store for fun I'll listen for this.
I got to hear some clips recorded from the chapel of the organ, and learned that people visiting often lie on the stage floor to feel the vibrations that it produces. Hadn't heard what a piano played there sounds like yet.

You’re quite welcome :)
I haven’t listened to a large number of Yamaha C series grand pianos, but those I have paid careful attention to have a harmonic ring in the upper octaves caused by harmonics and sympathetic string resonance.
I had a rare opportunity to sit down for a brief time at a Steinway D concert grand and play it a lilttle. I lack the funds or space for such a fine instrument. One day, perhaps. I’ve also paid careful attention to the sound of Bosendorfer pianos and they are very mellow, but a little brighter than a Steinway.
I know little to nothing about Fazioli pianos.
