Being quite a far flight from his home, the Kingdom of Sea, Wavecrest made his way over to Sanctuary after hearing the new species of dragons discovered. In the process of flying around excess amount of trees and around various mountains, he found himself nearing his destination before stumbling upon a pretty leafwing, fleeing from a group of dragon soldiers, seeming as if they wanted to take the unfamiliar dragon specie into custody. Wavecrest swoops down to the commotion and ends up stopping the guards as to see what the problem was. An unidentified dragon in their midst, they explain. Rather than seeing the dragon taken away, Wavecrest volunteers to guide the Leafwing away to prevent any trouble for the guards, and would keep an eye out on her in case anything suspicious happened. With no other words exchanged, they scurried off from the guards. As he escorted her away to his destination, they chatted. The Leafwing was known as Aspen, explaining to Wavecrest about the new tribes on the continent and the conflict on their own home continent, as well as her getting separated from her tribe. He listened and understood, now having brief information about the new tribes, why they were inhabiting Pyrrhia, and where to lead her. Also receiving a warm thank you for saving her from the issue beforehand. Before long, he reunites her with her tribe and spends couples of days getting to know her better. One warm afternoon, he sneaks off with her to a place where they could be alone together. Perhaps, Wavecrest had grown a sort of attraction to her and took her on a date-
