Aughh, I can't play Gears of War though, I'm about as useful at 3rd person shooters as a welding mask that's out of batteries.

And a welding mask out of batteries means a day of flash-burn where candle light may trigger migraines.

Yes, I suck that bad at 3rd person shooters. People are blinded by my suckiness. I never got past the introductory level on Resident Evil 4, and in Gears of War 2, it took me 13 hours of playtime to get eaten by some worm or something.

I never made it past that level.

And Castlevania :( Ish like. Music to my ears. I get the chills every time I see the trailer. It's a 3D Castlevania that actually looks decent for a change. After years of failing in 3D, they might have actually done it right o3o

And my Castlevania fanboyism is off the charts. So even though Lords of Shadow originally didn't even have "Castlevania" in the namesake, it does now. Am I skeptical? A bit. But in a way I'm ready for disappointment since they've never made a really good game that makes use of 3 dimensions. But stiilll. Ish so beautiful o_o

i do like the blood and gore (and other scenery x3) on gears...it's really cool.

but not every game is for everyone, so we each have our own likes and such.

but yea, i'm a huge gears fan, and i'm super pumped for this game. looks killer, can't wait to see the third carmine brother (hopefully live) and can't wait to see who wins: Humans, Locust, or Lambent (more locust)

I loved the first one. I liked the second one. The third one is going to be more industralized. And they're taking away a lot of good parts of the game system. AKA, it's not fable anymore. Just a shitty Grand Theft Auto.

lol...that's basically reverse of what i think of Gears of war

first one came out, i thought it was gonna bomb, until i tried it...it was okay, but a lot more needed to be done.
the second one came out, i loved it. everything seemed awesome, from the campaign to the multiplayer...and crawling to your teammates when you're down

now, the third one comes out, and the carmine family (four brothers) have lost 2, and the fourth doesn't show...anyways, i'm excited for it :D

Don't go saying that CoD isn't for kids too o_o I've been playing with dysfunctional children on CoD periodically since "Yes" on BFBC2 became inactive due to magic the gathering nerdism and Halo Reach Release. (And of course after Reach Release, my Xbox has been whored by my older brother)

And no, I'm not bringing in Battlefield into the Mix. Because I love CoD, BF, and Halo equally. I play them all for different purposes of gamestyle, if I get bored of playing one of the three, I can play another one of the three without feeling like I'm just playing a different version of the same game.

Because of this, I feel it's safe to say that the games shouldn't be compared to each other.
