Tendi is such a fascinating character to me. First of all she's just great, so sweet and wholesome and I love her. But then I am pretty sure she is the first main character who is an Orion in any Star Trek series right? It's pretty interesting that this is the first time we get a regular character from this race and she's basically nothing like any previous examples we've seen before. It would be like if the first Ferengi main character ran a giant charity funded by his martial arts exhibitions.
