Hes a proud mount of course.
There will be always other dragons who don`t like this work but it shouldn`t be a reason not to do it if he likes it. There are many nice things to do for mounts and you get free food, a warm place to stay, safety and love from your owner. Also I think dragons are not the cheapest mounts which mean that they are valuable and treated with care and a nice pretty gear. Maybe they will transport rich royal people and experience important events where other dragons are not invited.
