Timeless: We Share The Same Air
Title: We Share The Same Air
Drawing from 2020, and a remake of a [drawing from 2017]. (The '17 drawing looks horrendous.)
In Turvao Varanar culture, touching forehead is a way of showing affection. By placing their mind close to another's, one can demonstrate a myriad of emotions, including sympathy and understanding. While forearm holding is done between any Varanar as a form of greeting, forehead touching is usually reserved for family members, lovers or close friends.
Here, the twins show their affection for one another after being apart from some time, while taking in each other's breath, and sharing the essence of their life, as their people believe.

Aaahhhh, the most intimate thing! The forehead-touch! <333
I mean that, I've started to think of this as more tender and intimate than kissing. It's so chaste and it puts me in mind of sharing one's thoughts and feelings moreso than anything else, a deeper connection than something so tied to physical love. Lust is great and all, but the true depths of romance and affection are in the mind, not the body.
This is a perfect way of showing that depth, that connection.
