Here's a thing I put together to hold my punches, chisels, drifts and other things similar.
First time ever making a box before, but I think it came out perfect for what I need it to be used as. There isn't really an even amount of rivets and some things are a tiny bit crooked, but all of that aside I think I did a very good job with this one for just laying it all out by eye.
The sheet metal is made from electrical box/pedestal panels and things. When old ones are worn out and rusty, they get replaced and I've dragged a few of them home. If disassembled neatly you get very big sheets of steel and other random bits and bobs.
The strange discoiouration on the ends is from the heat I put on them to forge right angle corners that can mate flush to the end panels.
At some point I'm going to remove all of the paint and rust.
The rivets I used here are basically nails. I have an abundance of duplex nails. Nails seem to make the easiest rivets, so they they go.
