Cmon bro, you can learn. I'm still recommending you use a grid. My beginner drawing teacher always made us use grids with any still life because it makes the task look easier, and it trains the eye to pay attention to detail. You look at the picture square by square rather than as a whole.
With this picture you did something that I still have a problem doing, and that would be the depth on the gun. What I think might have caused a problem is the lack of pre planning (As far as I can tell) which makes it hard for me to judge what position the arm is in which holds said gun. Or the position of the body that is connected to said arm.
What you might want to try next time is just a rough manikin shape technique. Just draw an oval for each part of the body, and progressively add detail.

Lmao, I'm redrawing this (Kinda) and I'm stuck on the hand already. That's one thing that I most likely -won't- be doing better than you.
My version is gonna look a little different cause I couldn't find a good way to connect the gun to the body. But I'm doin it anyway. Doing the concept, that is.
I say that a lot. Hm. "Doing it anyway."
I'm pretty sure that's been in almost every single one of my pictures.
