In a nut shell, this user wasn't able to deliver the promise after i delivered mine.
I'm very upset when people don't know what the meaning of trust really is.
I tried to tell him, i'd give him a week of time to pay and then this message from his mother came to me... I don't care if it's really from his mother or from him, but i don't take excuse.
It's very sad, since he seemed to be like a nice follower, it doesn't mean you have to commission me or become my patreon, he simply left some interesting comments i found them cute. But now, all the trust has been ruined.
I have to remind all of you. Trust has to be built over years, but it can be simply destroyed in seconds.
I can be a kind person if you are trustworthy, but if you are not, i will make sure you never show up in my sight again.
For artists.
If you ever have this problem when you take a commission, please don't be frustrated or upset. Find a way to make it up to yourself, because you can't rely on people like this, we will survive and get through in our own way, be strong !

The Starting bid probably is high.. but the ticklees, Benjay and Armada is already colored and shaded, and not to mention, i will make some improvement for the shading work.
I'll be happy enough, if it's close at base price, i just hope a better person can own this art with their character, i will make sure you love it. ^^ Only true fan deserves my art.
- Paypal only, it has to be paid within 24 hr.
- Only one slot, one picture.
- Starting Bid: 50 usd
- Minor Increase: 5 usd
- No AB
- YCH ends at Wednesday in the same time at my time. (2:30 am)
- If the last person declines, i will postpone and make sure the last person who bids gets the slot as final.

- If the winner wants to change the victims, you can let me know, but it will have to pay for the extra.

I really hate when this happens, ne? One time, a friend of mine commissioned me, but when it came time to pay, he blocked me, deleted all of his art, unblocked me, deleted all of his social media, disappeared for a few months, created a new account, apologized and then continued this cycle for about 4 years now. ^^;
From what I read what you did was draw it all first and ask for payment later; if you'd rather be safe than sorry for future reference I'd suggest the following:
A) Do a 50/50 payment method, where the client pays half up front and half upon the product being delivered (since it's art, you might want to watermark it'till they deliver).
B) All money upfront; while it puts the client in a bit of a pickle; usually "big" artist like yourself are generally trusted by the community; this may put some people off however.
Really sorry to hear this happened to ya though; it kinda sucks :/

Please report that person to FA staff for them to check that they're behaving inside FA's ToS. Also file a report to Paypal because that message said that either someone is sharing their account, which makes them 100% responsible for the purchases and should invalidate that "minor"-argument, or a fake dob was used.
I'm sorry that it happened, your "work and talent" should not be evaluated in the number of people who want to get a free image.

I am sure that "adult" people at least write them for decency, especially when there is a question of money)

Any responsible adult would've at least excused the behavior of their child and expressed some kind of empathy for the situation the artist was put in. This message, no matter who wrote it, is just pushing away any responsibility. That account's owner should be perma-banned and the Paypal account used should be closed.
Haaaw my poor ven I'm realy sad and pretty disapointed in the person if it's realy an excuse... I also know him from q servor I'm one and I didn't ever ilagined he coukd act like this... but anyway what is do is do..

So oddly enough, I'm not sure if I told you this, but I had added in my Terms of Service "have your own financial stability", I just felt I wanted to avoid anyone who has to ask mommy or daddy's permission to spend money on something.
Sorry again this happened to you, whether he's telling the truth or not, it's pretty sleezy to get your "mommy" to jump in and tell someone to stop messaging him about the picture you rightfully made.

If that message is fake, that`s a really shameful move, hope he will enjoy the money that he gained in exchange of his credibility and your trust.
if the message is real, is most likely that he is getting the scold of the century and had programed a few forced visits to the therapist. Unless that the mom is a very lax parent.

A minor commissioning foot fetish art, probably having nsfw faves and is either using Paypal with a fake dob, or someone is sharing their account with them.
Also says a lot about the "mother" letting others suffer the consequences of their child's actions, playing the "they're a minor, they can't do that" card. Either grade A parenting or pathetic fake.

Sorry to hear what happen to our beloved poor Mr.benj,especially when this odd experience happened to be your first attempt of YCH .Just please don't let this get to your passion of delivering magnificent arts .That YCH should and would definitly be owned by a better person*pats and pats to cheer the greatest draggy up*
I'm sorry that happened to you. Some people are finding more and more loopholes to get away with free art. Everything might be going fine with a client, and suddenly some weeks or even months after payment they do a chargeback on paypal, while meanwhile you already reported your income and maybe paid taxes on it :/

You should stick to the 50/50, and if it doesn't work request paypal to give you an explanation. If you feel this is coming from the client, then simply don't work with them: better be safe than sorry.
And never send the full res version before payment. I'd also recommend you to have them sign a contract, that tends to scare some scammers away.

yeah i do it most of the time. I only work after i'm paid. But this time, the client repeatedly reports to paypal so that the money is suspended now. He wants the refund after i've delivered my art for him.
I've provided some evidences to paypal already, hopefully they will make a fair judgement. But i actually expect the worst, i don't care if i will get the money now, i just want this picture can be owned by a better person than this guy. As far as i know, this is not the only case that he tried to get free art from other artists. He always has the excuse "i have the financial situation and try to survive." And this is how he deal with the financial situation...

I don't trust fa honestly, judging by how they solved things such as art theft cases... And this guy has created so many accounts so far, but fa didn't do anything.

Yeah, what he's doing (asking for a refund after the delivery of the final product) is pretty much a chargeback: many scammers do that with artists on FA and DA by asking paypal for a refund, and unfortunately paypal sides with the client 99% of the time in cases like these: I'm sorry this is happening to you :(
You can always report him to artistbeware, at least so others will be warned against that client.

Honestly, I am quite sorry to hear that this kind of issue happened to you. And I would also like to thank you very much to share it with us. If one day I decide to be opened to commission (not sure it would happen soon, yet it might happen one day or another) I know that I should be very careful and take advice to more experienced artists to avoid these kind of annoyances.
By the way, I gave a look to the page of the one who commissioned you less than an hour after you posted this announcement and the mentioned picture was still in his gallery. He removed it a few hours later. By the way, it was a very wise decision from you to remove his name from your screenshot. It is usually better not to be at the origin of pointless dramas, especially here on FA where stuffs could easily get heated. Honestly, I don't know if this customer is actually a minor or not, yet the lack of maturity that radiates from his behavior in this very specific case does not encourage me to have much interaction with him.
I truly hope that you could go through this negative and unhealthy experience and don't lose (too much) your motivation for producing and sharing artworks with your fans.
