You know what's funny is that the writers of these gospel tracts immediately assume you already have a Christian sense of moral absolutism despite, ironically, not being a Christian.

It's also funny that they assume that despite living in the middle of Jesusland, you've never heard about the Ten Commandments or Salvation or anything like that.

I don't know of anyone who has converted because of one of these tracts. Shame that wasting paper isn't listed as a sin.

These types of people tend to have no outward perspective to see things from. they can not comprehend having a differing view than their own, and as such assume everyone thinks like they do. it's a scary thing.

I know... looking back, I can't believe I used to be like that myself. I was raised in it and wrapped up in it pretty deep. It took a lot of living to break those habits.

That's a frightening thing that people feel the need to have god as a moral compas, for fear that they would suddenly become bad people wihtout it. I would really hate to see if that would actually happen... o.o

This is why atheists feel no need to proselytize--if these kinds of people actually did turn away from their god, we're rather frightened of what they might do.
