Last year I was commissioned to make some dolls for a library "reading tree" display at a school; including a faery, bird, and squirrel-- Here's the bird!

This was probably my "biggest" undertaking to date; they are the largest figures I've made so far & had free rein in designing the critters, which was wonderful.
Somehow I always tell myself to refrain from making anything with feathers or scales, and yet here we are... haha! I love how this lil' chonk of a birdfriend turned out. I was listening to a FF9 playthrough while working on this, so perhaps a bit inspired by the aesthetics of that game, too.
