Day 15 of the 2022 challenge to draw an OC a day is a little different. It is not one of my OC’s I am drawing.
Last week, my dad passed away after a rough battle with esophageal cancer. The funeral was today, and as lovely as it was, you all know how these things are. Squirtle’s debut episode, Here Comes the Squirtle Squad, ended with them becoming firefighters. Dad was a firefighter for 35 years, so Squirtle quickly became his favorite pokemon. He even had a squirtle figure on his helmet…It melted very quickly, but it was there. I will be naming every squirtle I train from now on after him.
