chchch ahahah a little bit of the silent stalker and everyone's favorite juggernaut. The unstoppable Jason Voorhees, he needs moar screen time with less terrible movies. Now if they can bring his zombie ass back for more films like the remake we'll be set. Even as an old school horror fanatic, it was a much needed move in the right direction. Tongue a "little less" in cheek and amping up the actual monster he should have been. No teleporting like last time, he runs you down and fucks you up ;P

True enough, I hope they really don't fuck that one up. It took me two good times of watching the new Nightmare to like it for what it's worth. Second time I actually liked the way he relished every moment. As for Jason and the new Friday... I scared the shit out of people there like I did at the 2007 Halloween before Zombie fucked it up. I was cheering and fidgeting just smiling my face off as Jason tore those fuckers apart. I wish they'd have had the opportunity to bring back the zombie Jason to tear things up in the sequel but I guess that's not for another while. As for Chucky let's see if they can make that shit terrifying. They have no excuse to not make that doll fucking vicious this time. Old one was laughable yes, the prosthetic and animatronics back then couldn't quite make it real enough. This time, he better be awesome.
For the most part it is, I'm updating the other one much more. This I'll keep for characters not quite my own and this was too pretty not to post I thought. The other one will keep fan service to a dead minimum, this on the other hand I can give two shits about.
And yeah, he'll only be cool in that last movie... Unfortunately no more apparently, the economy killed the unstoppable monster and I don't even think a lightning bolt of Obama's stimulus package is getting him up this time v.v

For real, I am surprised though. Even with critical and fan based backlash on the new Nightmare, it more than made it's budget and I am surprised to admit. I accept it for a real re imagining of the series. In my head I can see a completely new story arc that they could take it down that could bring up a new film or two and end with a really badass tragic ending.
But it apparently did bad enough for some reason that platinum dunes officially buried any hopes of continuing their Jason line.
