"Come closer children as I tell you the tale of the dreaded Snow Elves. We all know of the peaceful moon-loving Drow and how they come out from their underground homelands on a Pilgrimage to dance among the stars and moon. Some even stay within the safety of our villages and especially behind city walls. But, what caused them to seek the safety of the under-cities in the first place you ask? That would be their surface cousins the Snow Elves or The Frost Hearts as they call them. Cruel and full of malice with hearts truly as cold as the ice and snow itself. They drove the Drow from their beloved Moon, none alive remember what caused them to become so cold, but many know these winter terrors that hunt the snowy nights in the northern lands, Kidnapping, Murder, or Raiding parties of these foul elves. Sometimes for survival as much as for entertainment. A few slaves have escaped their grasp back to friendly faces, many mentally broken, others physically changed. Beware these fearsome elves, they hunt mostly at night and they seem resilient to the harshest cold treating them as we do a warm day and need not the light of the sun to hunt. As such always remember, best to be safe at night within one's home than out on winter night at these Elves mercy."

Didn't want to run Faerun as its normal setting so I changed a few major events for an alternate Material Plane of Faerun. So far my group has found out that the Drow are the Friendly Elves of this Faerun and instead of sun elves, the Evil Elves of this Faerun are called Snow Elves. Still building on this idea as I have completely now gotten bitten by the Fantasy Bug with Altering a Campaign Setting/World.
