The two best dragons! Both in one single image!!
Needless to say, my favorite Pokémon is Flygon. Flygon embodies exactly what I love in simple yet unique designs. Everything about Flygon is recognizable and unique despite having a fairly standard dragon-like body. But yet, even I could probably draw a Flygon purely from memory, because he is simple! He doesn't have too much going on! And to me that is the pinnacle of design. Not to mention I love using flygon in the Pokémon games! Even if he continues to get more and more power crept, that only makes me want to use flygon and his specific niche more.
Additionally, Craddock owes a bit of his design - and heck maybe even his existence as a whole - to Flygon. I never grew up with Spyro or Dragon Tales or Eragon or any of those other usual scaly gateways. Instead, I definitely grew up with Pokémon, and if my affinity for dragons came from anywhere it was most likely there. And if you didn't spot it already from the two being side by side, Craddock's ski goggles were inspired by Flygon!! Well, I decided to give him ski goggles simply due to my passion for skiing, but the design of the goggles (and tbh the desire to give him goggles in the first place) were due to Flygon! The red tint and the green frames are a direct reference to the Pokémon!
I just hope Flygon and Craddock can still be friends despite the whole Ice Dragon and 4x weak to Ice thing!
Also, how does Craddock exist in the same world where Flygon can exist? I kinda have an explanation, but it requires a lot of explaining that I'd rather not do online so I'll just say don't worry about it (;
