Felt like dusting off more underutilized characters from the late 2010s, so here's Amika, one of a number of seemingly interchangeable red fox characters I drew a few times back in 2017/2018.

Fur Affinity ◈ Weasyl When I first posted art of her, I had put a snarky bit in the description about how she's a generic blonde "eye candy" fox, and to make her actuallys stand out and be interesting, I'd have to develop her as a character--except, I never really bothered to do that.
Outside of being Charla's friend, Topher's brother, and a possible romantic interest for a couple of other generic interchangeable red fox guys I designed around this time (I think I ended up settling on one, a gangster type I also never bothered to develop), I never really did develop her much.
Here, I decided to focus on what little personality and development I decided on for her--her cheerful, friendly and playful nature, and her love for the city's night life. It looks like she's inviting a friend out for a night on the town--there's this awesome pizza place downtown run by this adorable fennec couple she's been dying to visit again, and some bars a few blocks down from there that might have some local bands playing.Posted using PostyBirb

I guess I need to update Rosario at some point, now that I've acknowledged his existence for the first time in several years... in hindsight I'm not sure if an *actual* gangster is a good fit for Amika, but perhaps someone who fell in with a bad crowd and went down that path, but is trying to turn things around would be.
Amika being part of another character's redemption arc could be interesting, especially since she seems to be a secondary character, defined quite a bit by her relationship to other characters.
