Well in my opinion you actually did a pretty good job here! Both the depth of the room and the space the characters occupy in such space is well done, it really gives the idea of being actually INSIDE a room! And the mirror images? Excellent little touch!
My only question is: what about his tail? Is there some kind of hole in which his tail can fit? Or is tail is supposed to be like behind him and laying down?

You're providing stimulation of the nerve centres and the chakras within the soles of the feet, the precise and delicate manipulation of which can improve the flow of chi and provide a boost to spiritual and emotional well being entirely beyond the physical benefits.
