Hisuian Samurott is cool though. :>
You don't have to speak on anything public honestly. I don't speak on anything unless its a related subject or I just share a similar thing.
Am I misunderstanding something?
And as much as I hate to say it, it really does feel like you only really commented because you were peeved about Typhlosion getting something or even just being present in a current game like the comment string below.
But that aside, the fact that I saw an "Ugh" in parenthesis kinda makes me give you a questioning look.
Dude, you're complaining that Feraligatr didn't get anything? Chikorita hasn't gotten anything and its basically more of a support-type Starter due to its move pool.
I'm kinda surprised you don't hate Charizard since it got two Megas and all this other stuff too. Kanto keeps getting all of this stuff and its honestly getting out of hand.
I'm lucky Typhlosion got literally one thing, anyone who likes Typhlosion is lucky to get one thing (And that form is likely not going to transfer to any games at all, its gonna be a Spikey-eared Pichu situation where it came from that game and its gonna only be in that game, which basically might as well be nothing). Johto basically gets tossed to the wayside and Johto was legitimately meant to be the absolute last Pokemon region and set of games period. Both that and the difference in technology is the reason all fans lost their Pokemon in Gen 2 to Gen 3. You can't design for something that you couldn't foresee. And that was the Pokemon Fans' absolutely amazing, fervent, and for lack of better word choice, incredibly staunch encouragement to keep the series going. Because Pokemon by their own creators was thought to be like the Tamagotchi Fad in Japan, the hot new thing that was gonna die very shortly after. But...Pokemon just miraculously surpassed the Fad status just like Zelda, Mario, every other Nintendo franchise since! And now Pokemon dethroned Mario a good several years back! Everyone knows that legendary M-emblazoned Red Cap!
Despite the amazing games that are HeartGold & SoulSilver I trust absolutely nothing related to GameFreak or TPC, mostly TPC, to handle those games at all if we are getting Johto remakes. SoulSilver is the first game I not only truly loved but also introduced me to Typhlosion as a whole due to the not-so good frequency of seeing any Typhlosion in the anime. We got relegated to a Special 3-Parter known as Legend of Thunder and Mr. Moore's Typhlosion (Flannery's father I believe), beyond the school demonstration episode found in one episode of Hoenn.
You guys got a proper Johto Anime spotlight for a very long time, especially Totodile & Feraligatr.
You guys got an episode about a Sumo Feraligatr, that's way earlier than even Meganium.
We got two episodes in Hoenn, and a Special that's basically impossibly hard to catch properly? That kind of "anime representation" doesn't make me happy at all. In fact it makes me feel like Typhlosion simply got super sidelined like as if it was just not important compared to the cuteness of Quilava and Cyndaquil since Ash only ever had those, with Quilava just being a one-shot moment during his Sinnoh League shot.
Feraligatr if you ask me is the most likely to get a new anything going forward, what we're getting is likely not just only a one-shot thing, but much like the comment below, it an ancient form that died out. And honestly it does kinda rub me the wrong way because you take any slight pleasure in an extinction of a species of Typhlosion.
I don't mind any Pokemon, in fact one of the most disliked Pokemon I always looked at was Ho-Oh, but once I caught Ho-Oh, I learned to like it anyhow and its even become one of my favorite Pokemon simply because I let it spend time in my personal life and personal thoughts.
I'm over here questioning what has you armored and against Typhlosion in general over here. Because I completely, 100% get it if its because Typhlosion is simply "too plain and simple", but I feel that's not enough to explain how you feel about Typhlosion in general. Or if its related to a Typhlosion floating around here that gave you a horrible time or did horrible things to you. Because I can at least say that I do my best not to give anyone a hard time or fight anywhere. Despite the tone of voice I carry with me that may sound intense, scary, and for a lack of better words to describe it "great looming" as if I have a giant presence, which honestly I feel is mostly due to the fact that I do my best to carry myself as calmly as possible.
*sighs* I can at least admit that I did get a bit passionate about what you guys have over us, because you guys truly do have more popularity. I know at least two Feraligatrs, and two or three more Totos floating around here.
Johto Starters have never gotten any proper love, and it honestly kinda slightly hurts to know that there are individuals that slightly more than dislike Typhlosion. But that's the whole point of diversity so I honestly shouldn't be too apprehensive about you disliking Typhlosion...I'm going to basically be circling around again to where I look confused and no one will understand anything since that happens even amongst people I talk to...because I've apparently not learned to talk a bit more clearly. I should work on that more.
You honestly don't have to explain anything of why you dislike Typhlosion, if you simply don't like them then I have to let you have that since maybe one day you'll have the satisfaction of liking them like I did Ho-Oh. I'd be a unnatural disruption to that process, and that process is better when natural, friends telling you give Typhlosion a chance is also natural. But I am a Typhlosion stranger with no better swaying power than that of a slight breeze or fart.
So apologize for any passion I brought, plus more if I did.
Although yes, I am a bit peeved my least favourite Pokémon got in over my favourite Pokémon. But that's fine. I can just skip this game and call it a day, right?
Pokémon Arceus is Breath of the Wild with a Pokemon skin, the interviews and gameplay have addressed this is a hardcore grind and don't die situation. A Dark Souls if you will, type of game. Dying loses items that you have to grind all over for. If you don't like Mystery Dungeon or grinding hell, it won't be for you. Breath of the Wild wasn't for me, it was tedious and grindy and yet it's one of the best received Zelda games. I love the new forms but the game is only interesting to me because I want to see people ragequit and Nuzlocke it.
Besides, if you got a H-Totodile or Feralgator it would mean your favorite was DEAD in present day and replaced by the new one. All the H-Pokemon are extinct in modern day and basically the same as fossil Pokemon. Hisuia is past age Sinnoh and we didn't see any Typhlosions in DP, did we? Rejoice, your favorite Pokemon didn't mass die.
I love Mystery Dungeon, but I was already worried this game would have too many changes. If this is like Dark Souls (which I've never touched due to its infamous difficulty turning me off), then I might've probably skipped it even if Totodile was in it.
We don't know if we get to transfer these Pokémon to later games or not though. It's be weird if they had these around as a one-time only thing unlike previous regional forms. Although I guess I can take some pleasure in the fact Hisuian Typhlosion is extinct, yes. I can rejoice in both that and the fact there's no Feraligatr variant that's extinct.
Besides (and this is what my BF has told me), considering how lackluster all Hisuian forms aside from Samurott and Arcanine look, maybe it's for the best. Game Freak would've screwed up Hisuian Feraligatr anyway. Well, most likely anyway.
And all alt forms are often really hard to get, can't be transferred, etc. Can't remember if SM any of the variants can be transferred. I know in Let's Go you can't ride any variants of the ride Pokemon around. I hate to be the one to say it, but yes, for the most part, just like Dynamaxing and Mega Evolving, the forms are one and done. Then they are 90% gone and forgotten. Never to be seen again just like the other Pokemon depicted in the movies or books in the shows. Or that strange Pokemon UFO carving in SwSh never seen again.
If it's a spin off and not main series, we can't. The only spin off Pokemon we've ever been able to transfer was Manaphy Egg from Pokemon Ranger(and man was that hell to do). No Mystery Dungeon transfers, nothing. This is it's own game completely and people implied through hacking it has no backwards or forewords compatibility. As is normal for spin offs.
Don't worry, GF and Nintendo have implied they have future plans for Gen 2 getting forms. It'll be Feraligatr's time soon enough.
Actually, you could transfer several regional variants from Gen 7 to Gen 8. However, they were also obtainable in the DLC. Also, Megas weren't exactly one and done. They were introduced in Gen 6, returned in Gen 7 and still show up in the anime and Pokémon GO. They're also in Rescue Team DX.
Game Freak keeps insisting it's a mainline title, but I'm honestly more convinced it's a spin-off. They did mention it'd have Home compatibility, but I'm not sure how that'll work. Hmm...
They have? Where? Do you have a source? Because if you do, you may have just brightened my mood by a lot. Regardless, I really hope you're right, because it's about time my boi stopped being neglected.
It's definitely a spin off, this close after a main game remake = spin off. They always drop a new game and then do a spin off or two beside it.
Was in a few interviews. Starting around X and Y they said gen 2 had something coming up. The D/P remake came and they said don't worry, Gen 2 will get something soon. That Gen 2 remake is being teased a lot and last time we had it remade it was so wholly new and different -like OR/AS was. They're being very shifty but I could try and dig up their Gen 2 commentary. Every time it's asked about Nintendo assures us there's something big in mind for it, and I don't buy this is the only starter of that gen to get a new form, I bet the next games will pull it as well. They've got secret plans they sit on for years, just like the reused content they bring into future gens.
Yeah, I also think it's a spin-off and I won't be told otherwise. I'm Dutch and therefore very stubborn. Lol
I see! That's interesting. I'd certainly love to see Gen 2 get more love. o.0
Yeah, it's be unfair towards the other starters of their respective regions if only Decidueye, Samurott and (ugh) Typhlosion got new forms. I mean, even with Megas and Gmax they were consistent in that regard. All of the Kanto and Hoenn starters got Megas (though not at the same time with the latter) and all Kanto and Galar starters got Gmax forms (again, not at the same time with the former here). So I am 100% with you here. They're probably giving new forms to the other ones as well.
But this pic looks fantastic, you make it look amazing. Good work🧡
