So, I'm still feeling this track this morning, which is unprecedented. Fixed a bunch of mixdown issues, replaced my ghetto chorus filter harmonies with auto-tuning, added some more splashes of sound to big shifts and fixed up a lot of the automation. Cleaned up that vocal loop in the background, added vocals over the anthem and super-fixed the mixdown there (though it's still not perfect) and replaced some drum samples with shit that makes more sense. Fixed the bass so it's not eating the pads, and adjusted a bunch of the sweeps. Got rid of a little melody in the background I was using for texture but grew sick of. Lots more auto-tuning to fix things I didn't like. Still no bass in the second half, but who cares. It's sounding better.

still needs effects on the vocals (they sound pretty dry) and definitely work on getting those drums to sit more nicely in their place. Plus an ending.

p.s. i would like to officially state that the only employment status in which someone can efficiently work on music as a hobby is 'unemployed'. I had massive output in college, high school, and during a couple quick stints of not really working. When I work I get nothing done.
